Green Belt Land
The market in green belt land for sale is increasing. Green belt is offered for long-term investment in the hope that it will gain planning permission to build homes.
Investing in a plot of green belt land may produce large profits when, and if the land gains planning permission for housing but it also worries the locals and countryside campaigners.
Green belt policy is the most well known planning tool by the general public, but it is also probably the least understood. Rather than being a tool to protect countryside it is a regional strategic planning tool to restrict urban development.
The Government have not denied 'greenfield' sites will not be developed. As the housing pressures increase local councils have released greenfield for residential development.
